Project 5

This is my hoax creation, I combined a picture I found off google of two Thylacine, animals that existed millions of years ago, with another picture I found off google of a shore in Australia, which is where they lived. In my article I said scientists brought them back to life by cloning with their genes and that they have no pigment because they were created in a lab with technology instead of in nature with the sun. I used the erase tool to erase the background of the Thylacine picture and pasted into the scenic picture as a new layer, I had to adjust the contrast and scaled it so it looked right in the background too. I used the filter, glussin blur, to lower the saturation of the background image. This is an example of my layering and editing skills, as well as my use of ideas.

Frog Photo

Here is a picture I took of a leopard frog. I have him in the focal point, to edit this picture I adjusted the contrast. I like this photo because it turned out good and clear, there's many details in the background and the frog is very detailed too. This is an example of my aiming skills and eye for details too.

Color Picture

I took this picture because the leaves are complimentary colors and we were learning about how certain colors add effect to photos. The red with the green leaves makes the leaves stand out and striking. I also set the branch and red leaves in the focal point. I adjusted the contrast and brightness in order to add more emphasis to them. This is a part of my style because it shows my angleing and editing skills, as well as my eye for detail.

Project 6 1

I worked pretty hard on this One Word Graphic to make it look good. I think this shows my skills at using techniques to make a piece of art that goes with my style. The font I used for Magic looks as if it is written in ink, I thought this represents the word, for spells are written in ink. I then used the filter, whirl and pinch, this added action to the word since magic is an action. The line nova filter I used also adds action with the word, I made it so the empty circle is in the middle of the image and added many gradient flares inside of it. I adjusted their hues to make mystical colors and centered them so it looks like the light is reaching out from within a tunnel. I also used the filter, emboss, to make the image darker and make the colors stand out more.

Project 6 3

I love how this One Word Graphic turned out. All of the elements add to a mysterious effect, I chose the most unique looking font for the word and used the filter, alien glow. I thought the purplish color gave it a mystic look, this overlay also made the background black which I thought worked nice since it represents the unknown. I added in gradient flare, distant sun, in to the background and made it seem like it is at a far away distance. I think this is a good example of my creativity.

Project 6 2

This is one of my One Word Graphics. I used a font that looked woodsy so it matched the word Nature. I added a drop shadow and applied a filter called wind, I though it added action to the word and a natural look. I also did pattern overlay to give the word texture, I used a pattern that has leaves. I made the background green colors because green is most seen in nature. I really like how this turned out and how it relates to the word nicely. This as well shows my creativity and use of techniques to create.

Project 4

In order to create this project I had to use an elipse tool on the original photo, I then copyed and pasted it into a blank image. With the erase tool I erased all of the background, after this I created a new blank image making it the size of three times my lava lamp. I pasted the lava lamp in 9 times, each in a new layer, I then used a grid in order to align them neatly with the move tool. On each lava lamp I applied a filter these are some that I used, apply canvas, photocopy, neon, weave, scatter, and glow. I chose interesting and crazy filters for my lava lamp because I wanted it to look trippy.
